Dressed up Baked Beans


  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans baked beans
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Fry up the bacon with the onion in a sauté pan over medium high heat until the bacon is cooked through and crispy. Drain on a paper towel.
  2. In a large sauce pan, combine the beans, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, barbeque sauce, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over low heat until sauce is thickened. Stir in bacon and onion.
