Spudnuts doughnuts

Ingredients:

  • 4 yeast cakes
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk. lukewarm
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1 TBS salt
  • 6 cups flour

 Directions:

Combine yeast cakes, water, sugar, milk and butter in a bowl, set aside.  When yeast has bubbled add potatoes, salt and flour.  Mix well with hand and let rise until doubled.  Roll onto flour surface.  Roll into doughnut holes or cut into doughnut shaped and let rise 30 min.  Fry.  Glaze with powdered sugar frosting.
